Being a responsible citizen, we need to work in coordination with reference to the societal requirements to ease the life. We are required to raise our skill quotient from academic to being industry ready with greater emphasis on research and innovation. " Dr. B. V. Patel is a Professor of Microbiology at Department of Microbiology, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, having teaching experience of more than 30 years at both UG and PG level including research supervisor in M. Phil and Ph. D. He is also a Senate Member of University Court, Gujarat University; Member of Executive and Academic Council, Gujarat University and is one of the Coordinators’ for Committee for NAAC accreditation, Gujarat University. He has held prestigious position as a Registrar (I/C) at Gujarat University too. His specialization is in the subjects of Microbiology, Biotechnology and Forensic Science. Dr. Patel has been involved in syllabus designing and curriculum development at various prestigious universities for M. Sc. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Forensic Sciences, Life Sciences, Climate Change Impacts Management. Dr. Patel has contributed in more than seventy five national and international programmes in the capacity of Convener, Co-patron and Organizing Committee member. He has to himself more than twelve research publications in various reputed international and national Science journals. Spanning his academic career of more than thirty years Dr. Patel has held various positions as peer team member of NAAC; Coordinator for Central Examination for Pharmacy, Medical, Dental and Science faculty; Chief Examination Coordinator for M. Sc. Central Examination; Chairman of Local Investigation Committee (LIC) for Faculty of Science, Commerce, Pharmacy, Medical, Education, Linguistic, Physical Education, Engineering and Technical Education etc. "
